Next Steps Tutors CIC sits under our banner of our main company Next Steps Education but operates as an independent NOT-FOR-PROFIT company. We aim to realign opportunities for ALL students, giving our communities equal access to education, empowering them to achieve more and reach higher.

Liz and Sarah set up our sister company as we saw too many students missing out because the usual funding routes for education didn't work. Students who wanted to learn and improve were limited in their chances. We think this is unfair.

Driven by 'being the change we want to see', we've set up Next Steps Tutors CIC with one simple aim: drive all profits back into our communities and create chances for our young people to connect and learn with others. 

We offer private tuition and mentoring, one-to-one or in small groups, both face to face across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset or online nationally. We offer a matching service, finding the ideal tutor to meet your son's or daughter's emotional and academic needs. When you connect with us for private tuition, mentoring and group tuition you are contributing to the success of our community. For that, we thank you for joining our team too.

Your support means we can create groups and space for students (and families) struggling to attend school for mental health reasons and/ or unmet needs. Look out for our Parent Hubs, Learning Groups and Social Groups.

We only work with qualified professionals and follow robust checks (Keeping Children Safe in Education) for anyone who comes into contact with students and families.

Our tutors tend to be 'career tutors' with a long history of teaching behind them. They are adept at working 1:1 with students, both online and face to face. 

We include regular training for our team, including safeguarding, mental health and academic updates.

We're all about working with you as a family to support your child's goals, whether they want to achieve high academic grades or improve their social life and mental health.

This could be showing them how to enjoy a subject, building their confidence, overcoming challenges, developing skills or anything else that's stopping your child reaching their full potential. 

We want to do this by providing a supportive, encouraging environment full of positivity.
