Upcoming Support for Tutors

Reflective Supervision Sessions

A chance for tutors to come together to discuss our roles, reflections and experiences with our students.

This 50 minute online group session will give you a chance to explore:

  • Experience
  • Reflection
  • Analysis
  • Action

Discussions will take place in small breakout rooms and be facilitated by Sarah and/or Liz. Bring whatever is on your mind to the sessions but please don’t mention individual children by name. You might like to prepare for our session by reading through our useful questions guide beforehand.

Networking Sessions

Meet the rest of the Next Steps Team in an online meet-up. There’s no agenda – arrive with your own ideas for discussion and find out some more about each other on our team.

NEXT SESSION: Tuesday 13th June 19:30-20:30pm. Email for the link.

Office Hours

Meet online with Sarah or Liz for any reason.

Considering Joining Us?

We’re looking for qualified tutors, mentors and educators to join our team working with young people across Devon, West Somerset and East Cornwall.

Choose your hours, geographical area, subjects and age range and we’ll match you with students as referrals are sent our way. We pride ourselves on being flexible, giving you as much or as little work as you want. Some tutors make working with us a full-time career; others fit contracts around other teaching work, tutoring & supply work, their own businesses or lifestyle. Check out our jobs page.

You’ll need to tutor core subjects: maths, science or English, or be a skilled mentor. We ask our tutors to plan, deliver and work around the child’s needs (older students may be sitting GCSEs).
