Welcome to Next Steps Education

We aim to give every student an equal opportunity in education by removing all and any barriers to learning.

Why? Because at Next Steps we want to see a world where each student is included and each student can access their full potential.

Services for Schools

We work closely with schools to support students who are challenged by school environments and routines.

We help to fill academic gaps, offer mentorship and 'eyes on'. Our support helps a range of students: those with mental health concerns, those at risk of exclusion, those with unmet needs and those who are neurodivergent or awaiting SEND support.

Local Authority Work

Our outreach tuition and mentoring is widely commissioned by local authorities meeting their 6-day or 15-day obligations for students who have been excluded and those with persistent absence.

We work with students and families in their homes or their communities to give them consistent access to education no matter their circumstances.

Support for Families

Our team thinks that parents are a major influence in their child's education. We offer parent support through local and online hubs, telephone and face to face advice, free counselling services and family mentoring.

"It's such a simple concept - to educate from an individual's starting point. It enables a child not otherwise accessing education to succeed in ways they never thought possible."
